I have a tradition where I try my hardest to not eat, have diner, in the same place. See, I think its good adventure to try out new places and thats what I have been trying to do in Nairobi.

With this post, I will try and enlighten you on some of the places worth checking out and those to avoid….. I cant remember all the restaurants I have been to but these ones definitely left an impression in my head!

Worth checking out:

1. Le Rustique – General Mathenge Drive [ they are only open for dinner on Wednesday, call and make your reservations]
2. Pampas Churrascaria – Mombasa Road
3. Sapporo – General Mathenge Drive
4. For You Chinese Restaurant – Gitanga Road,Valley Arcade
5. Open House Indian Restaurant – Centro House Westlands – Opposite the Mall
6. Mediterraneao Ristorante – The Junction [Never been to the Westlands one but I hear good things]
7. Osteria del Chianti – Lenana Road, Hurlingham
8. Rolfe’s Place – Ongata Rongai [Same road as Masai Lodge]
9. Fogo Gaucho – Viking House, off Waiyaki Way
10. Spurs Restaurant – Holiday Inn, Westlands [Those all you can eat ribs on Thursday make it a must visit]
11. Blancos Restaurant – Argwings Kodhek, Hurlingham

OK Places

1. Mister Wok – Muthangari Road, Lavington
2. Spice Roots Indian Restaurant – Masari Road, Parklands
3. Haandi Indian Restaurant – The Mall, Westlands
4. Smart Village – Elgeyo Marakwet Road, Hurlingham

Overrated

1. Peppers Restaurant – Westlands [Seriously, I dont see the appeal]

I know I have a long way to go…. Sierra, Palacina, Pango, Mai Loan, About Thyme … I mean, its endless…… So I am going to do it!

I should mention that the breakfast menu at Tea Spot - Koinange Street is totally fantastic and the ambiance it quite something!!!!!

Im going to give an indepth analysis of Whitney’s album [I look to you]. I think I can say with conviction that I can because I so far listened to it three times.

Here goes nothing:

IT SUCKS!

You can call me a hater but I can tell you this… I love Whitney, she has removed some classic songs….. Songs that we all know… but with this album, she is forgettable at best. I am so disappointed…….. These are songs that CASSIE, AMERIE, NIVEA and the like would do.

Whitney, please contact Mariah and ask advice on how to make a comeback.
